Summer 2023 Vacation Bible School

Our week was a great success with a lot of faith, fun & friends!  We had 48 participants who learned that we’re called to follow Jesus, help others, work together, listen to God & show grace!  There were a lot of fun water games, cool art projects, delicious snacks & interactive stories to help us learn each night.  Super Meerkat (aka Gabby Proffitt) & Professor Proffitt (aka Mary Ann) joined in the fun at the Hero Hotline Headquarters with lots of fun & great music!  We joined together to make a friendship garden & used everyone’s fingerprints & the preschoolers/kindergartener’s handprints to make a wonderful friendship bench! Make sure you check it out when you are at church! We also collected school supplies to donate to the Waukesha schools! We finished the week with a Family Night where the congregation & VBS families were invited to join in the celebration with one last lesson from the Professor & Super Meer, delicious food from Mami Feliz food truck, yummy ice cream from Sweet Abilities ice cream truck & lots of carnival like games & prizes!  It was a fun jam-packed week!!! 

A HUGE THANK YOU - to all those who contributed to VBS this year in some way, whether it was by donating money, snack items, volunteering, or prayers! It was greatly appreciated! I can’t express enough gratitude for the wonderful volunteers that showed up every night to teach God’s word & make it fun for the kids! You’re very special people! Thanks also to Pastor Christine for her wonderful participation, encouragement, support & photography skills throughout the week! A huge thank you as well to my family as they help so much every year & work so hard from helping with planning & decorating to putting up with me! Thank you to all the parents, grandparents & guardians that brought their participants to VBS every night! Your kids were awesome & we hope you’ll join us again next year!!!
