Tuesday, February 10 at 7 pm: Civil War Roundtable Meeting: Our speaker will be Doug Dammann. He has worked at the Civil War Museum of Kenosha, WI, for 17 years. He holds a master's degree in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University & a bachelor's degree in history from Kalamazoo College. He lives in Kenosha with his wife Holly & two kids. While visiting Italy, with her busy fiancé, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) visits a wall where the heartbroken leave notes to Shakespeare's tragic heroine, Juliet Capulet. Wednesdays, Feb 25 - April 22, (except 4/1), 7-8:30 pm: Palestine-Israel Zoom class: We’ll learn from Rev. Shelby Jeidy (Perez), a lifelong E&R member, who was ordained to ministry in Palestine in 2021 & then lived in Ramallah, We’ll focus on learning about the history of Palestine & the Palestinian people, the establishment of the State of Israel, & the history of the last 78 years that have followed. We’ll seek to know real Palestinians & Israelis through their own shared experiences. We’ll also read, question & learn about the WI Conference & General Synod UCC resolutions that have been introduced in the last five years. To participate, use this link. Friday, February 27, 12:30 – 2:30 pm: Game Day: Please plan to join us for some fellowship & fun on game day! Bring your favorite board or card game & a snack to share! Spend the afternoon playing Dominos, Apples to Apples, Scattergories, Scrabble, or any other game options! Invite a friend or neighbor! Game days are typically held on the 4th Friday of each month. Friday, February 27, 5:30 - 8:30 pm: Parent Night Out - Free Babysitting!!! The youth are volunteering to babysit your kids (0-6th grade). Parents can enjoy a night out while kids enjoy toys, games, crafts & a movie with popcorn. A dinner of pizza & ice cream also provided.
