Merry Christmas! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving & are getting excited for the Christmas holiday too! In Sunday School, we finished our rotation on Jonah & had a great time learning through science, storytelling & games. We learned what a prophet was, discovered that God is compassionate, no one is beyond forgiveness & that God wants us to be compassionate & kind to others too. The kids even got to hear the story from Jonah himself in the actual belly of the big fish! Pretty cool!

We had a wonderful pajama day, practicing our Christmas program songs, drinking hot cocoa, eating Christmas cookies, decorating our Christmas tree & watching the movie “The First Noel” with Andy Griffith as the narrator.  It was a wonderful, cozy morning!

Preschool & Kindergarteners have completed their lessons on the Tower of Babel & are now starting a unit on “Waiting for Christmas” & learning our Christmas program songs.  So much fun & learning going on!

We are now learning about the Birth of Jesus & working on getting ready for our Christmas program which will be Sunday, December 10 during the regular worship service at 9 am.

Practice will be on Saturday, December 9 from 10 am to 12:30 pm & will include a pizza lunch & treats at the end for everyone.

Our first mission this year will be our local mission & we’ll be raising money for Katy’s Kloset of Waukesha.  This volunteer driven organization cleans, repairs, stores & redistributes medical supplies & equipment to adults & children at no or low cost. They also run a weeklong Team Up for Fun summer camp for kids with special needs every year! At camp, kids with special needs get to go fishing, climb a rock wall, make crafts, play games, ride horses & connect with friends & volunteers. I hope you’ll talk with your kids about this wonderful organization & how giving back to the community is so important!
