Confirmation
The new confirmation class started on September 10th and will alternate on these Sunday mornings after Church is concluded (starting about 10:30 and lasting until 11:30).

Here is the information for this year:

• The Confirmation sessions will be held every other Sunday following worship and coffee hour (starting at about 10:30 and lasting one hour). This schedule will be interrupted by such things as congregational meetings and holidays. We're meeting two weeks in a row, September 10th and 17th because Pastor Jim is going to Phoenix to be with his mother. See schedule.

• The requirements have been re-evaluated by the Christian Education committee. The major change to prior years is that a minimum of 6 memory items are required. Three that we say regularly in worship (Gloria Patri, Doxology and the Lord's Prayer) and three others of your choice from the list given to you. Those who do all the memory work will be recognized on the day of Confirmation and will have a note on their Confirmation certificate.

• Sermon Sheets: They will usually be done especially for each Sunday. So, the kids need to pick up a new usually orange sheet from the box at the side entrance to the Masonic Lodge.

• Retreat:April 11 and 12 2008 (Friday night to Saturday afternoon) at Pilgrim Center on Green Lake. Save the date. We need drivers and a female adult to go along. The cost will be about $35 for the weekend.

• Field Trips: I’ve talked with Ceasar Zinnecker Charapata and they are flexible as to when to have a tour of their facility and a discussion about funeral practices. We need to get a good sense of when would be best for our Families. After school? Evening? Saturday? We also will look into visiting a Synagogue or Mosque.
